Dear South Bay AMWA members and prospective members,

April 18, 2020

Dear Members, Since our last letter, we have been “shelter in place” since March 16, 2020. We are all making changes to our practice, telemedicine and virtual meetings. We began donating surgical and cloth masks to our members starting April 13, 2020. We held a Virtual Meeting on April 14, 2020. It was on Ring Central 615 pm to 730pm. We had attendance ranging from 20-30 that evening. The topics were centered on COVID 19:

1. SBAMWA will continue to give out 100 free surgical masks, 1 cloth mask to each of our members since PPE are still not widely available. These are not N95 or KN95 (very hard to buy).

2. Future public service announcements will be made on 18 radio stations about the need for our patients to tend to Non-COVID emergencies:

CHEST PAIN, STROKE, SEVERE LEG pain, GANGRENE, loss of vision, shortness of breath due to asthma and allergy.

3. Discussion about EIDL and PPP loans was lively and informative.

4. Meeting adjourned at 730pm.
