Join us in supporting the American Medical Women Association (AMWA), an organization dedicated to advancing women in medicine since 1915. For nearly a century, AMWA has been a vital advocate, providing opportunities for women physicians in various spheres including postgraduate training, academic appointments, scholarships, and advocacy on critical healthcare issues.

Through political lobbying and national advocacy efforts, AMWA addresses women's healthcare issues, gender inequalities, and combatting sex trafficking. Additionally, their international outreach extends through the Medical Women's International Association (MIWA), pioneering global efforts for medical women.

Locally, South Bay AMWA serves the physicians of South San Francisco Bay, including Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Since affiliating with National AMWA in 2011, South Bay AMWA has facilitated networking, career counseling, community volunteering, mentoring, social support, and continuing medical education for women in medicine.
