Dear Members,

We had a great month and our monthly Zoom meeting was on May 12, 2020. As a group, we learned about

COVID19: Covid toe and Covid19 multisystem organ failure in children presenting like Kawasaki’s disease with a morbilliform rash.

That May 12 meeting had about 35 participants. Lively discussion followed. Dr Judy Nevitt will head up a group to purchase N95 masks using the companies that Dr. Anlin Xu found. The company has certificates of approval from FDA and EU. This will not be part of SB AMWA but an off-line group. To date 10 MDs have signed up for orders of 100.

There was a discussion about how to obtain PPP and EIDL. Dr Lynne Bui had much to contribute and she gave us clear understanding of how to pursue these applications in the future.

In general, everyone is grateful for this opportunity to bond with each other, learn from each other during COVID 19. To date, we handed out 150 masks, 5 masks that are N95, cloth masks to each member who came to our offices ( Gloria’s or Anlin’s office). So we are there for you!

Keep the faith! And GO SouthBay AMWA! We will continue to procure PPE for everyone for this entire year.
